TP VPN
Account

One account, several devices at once

Your phone and tablet can be connected at the same time without signing in and out. The device limit depends on your plan, and when you reach it you can remove an old device yourself in the app.

The limit depends on your plan

Each device is registered automatically the first time it connects and takes one slot. The number of slots ranges from 2 to 50 depending on your plan (see the table below). Once the limit is reached, a new device cannot connect until an old one is removed.

Remove devices yourself in the app

Under Account, Devices you can see every registered device and remove the ones you no longer use. Removal revokes that device's key immediately and disconnects it; signing in again on that device adds it back. To prevent mistakes, the current device cannot remove itself.

Moving to a new phone

Install TP VPN on the new phone and sign in the same way as before; the new device is registered automatically on its first connection. If all slots are taken, remove the old phone in Devices first. A fresh key pair is generated on the new device; the old device's key is never transferred.

A separate key for every device

Every device has its own WireGuard key pair and nothing is shared between them. Removing one device therefore never affects the others, and a lost device can be revoked on its own.

Devices per plan

Slots count registered devices; you can check used slots any time under Devices in the app.

Frequently asked questions

More answers in the Support Center, or email us directly.

Does the limit count devices online at once or devices registered?

Slots count registered devices: every device takes one slot when it first connects, whether or not it is online right now, and registered devices can all be online at the same time. Removing a device frees its slot immediately.

What if I lose my phone?

Sign in on another device, open Devices and remove the lost phone. Its key is revoked immediately and it can no longer establish a connection.

Do a tablet and a phone count as separate devices?

Yes. Every device that installs TP VPN and signs in counts separately.

Does the new limit apply immediately after upgrading?

Yes. The device limit follows your current plan straight away; there is no need to sign in again.

More features

Every feature listed here ships in the iOS and Android apps today.

No activity logs

No browsing content, DNS queries or traffic destinations. Those fields do not exist in our database schema, and the build pipeline asserts it.

WireGuard protocol

An open-source tunnel built on modern cryptography: fast handshakes, a small codebase and low battery use. Key pairs are generated on your device and the private key never leaves it.

Smart routing

A weighted score across latency, load and packet loss picks the best node. Exponential-backoff reconnection when a tunnel drops, or choose by scene, country, favourites and recents yourself.

Fair Use Policy

No fixed data quota, only a fair-use threshold. Beyond it, speed is reduced rather than the connection cut, and it resets with the next billing period.
